Trevor Day School got final Department of Buildings approval yesterday for the construction of a 12-story school on the Upper East Side for its seventh- through 12th-graders, Pamela Clarke, the head of the school, confirmed. Those students currently study at another Trevor school building at 1 West 88th Street.
Once complete, the new school will house the 370 seventh through 12th graders who now study at 1 West 88th Street. And the first through sixth graders will move from a property the school rents at 4 East 90th Street to the 88th Street building that Trevor owns . With the new building Trevor Day School will be able to follow through on long-held plans to expand its high school, Clarke said.
Mr. Tinker said there was no indication that Dr. Dexter had done anything inappropriate at school or with any Trevor Day students. ''It was all off in that other world, whatever that other world is,'' he said.
