My wife and I have eaten at The Girl and the Fig several times over the last 10 years or so, and we have always had an outstanding experience here. In a time when so many restaurants, even high-end ones, seem to have such similar menus and wine lists, The Girl and the Fig stands out as a true original,...
The story: The quaint Girl and the Fig restaurant first opened in 1997 in Glen Ellen but moved to the historic town square of Sonoma in 2000. A regular stop for people checking out wine country, the restaurant is known for its rustic French brasserie-style dishes and service.
We stopped in Sonoma on our way from San Francisco to Napa and had lunch at the Girl and the Fig. We sat outside. Had a salad and a glass of wine. Service was good and so was the food. Casual place.
