they should trade stastny, but i dont think they will, the avs brass will carry this grudge until they can trade oreilly in 1 year. They better get more than a 1st and a 3rd for him next year
All those who blame o Reilly for this ” holdout” as you all like to call it aren’t looking at the long term course of events. As soon as he realized the avs weren’t going to give him Duchene money, which he deserves at least that cause scoring isn’t everything in contract determination(see Washington contracts), he went to Russia to start the maneuvering. He was the only NHL player that signed a 2 year contract over there and, not coincidently, he was one of the last players to return to NHL ice. What o Reilly did was force the system to work the way it was meant to work.
